We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the Service:
- Account data: name, email address, hashed password
- Link data: destination URLs, custom codes, creation timestamps
- Visit data: IP address, country, city, and timestamp for each click on your short links
- API keys: key name, creation date, last-used timestamp (the key value itself is not stored in recoverable form)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the Service
- Provide you with click analytics and visit data for your links
- Authenticate your account and API requests
- Respond to support requests
- Detect and prevent misuse of the Service
3. Visit Data & Link Visitors
When a visitor clicks one of your short links, we log their IP address, approximate country, and city. This data is made available to you — the link owner — through your analytics dashboard and API. We do not sell visitor data to third parties. Visitor data is retained for as long as the associated link exists in the Service.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only:
- With service providers who assist in operating the Service (e.g., hosting, database) under confidentiality obligations
- If required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of DrTrim.io, our users, or the public
5. Data Retention
Your account data and link data are retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete a link, its associated visit records are also deleted. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed password storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Keep your API keys confidential and do not share your account credentials.
7. Cookies
We use session cookies solely for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We do not use third-party analytics services.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@drtrim.io. You may also delete your account directly from your account settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
